In some of the clearest evidence yet implicating Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in efforts to assassinate Malcolm X, these excerpts from two recent Omar Shabazz documentaries (‘Conspiracy – Why Not?’ and ‘Inside Job’) detail the activities of Clarence 2X Gill (0:50), a captain in Farrakhan’s Boston #11 mosque. Gill was implicated by Malcolm X himself in an assassination attempt that was to have been carried out in league with fellow Massachusetts captain of the Springfield #13 mosque, John X Peters (7:10). Both Gill and Peters had camped out in the New York home of Farrakhan’s half-brother, Alvin X Walcott. Walcott, in turn, is widely suspected of having participated in the 14th February 1965 firebomb attack on Malcolm’s home (2:37). As minister of Boston #11 it is simply inconceivable that Farrakhan was unaware of the activities of Gill, Peters and Walcott and these revelations raise troubling new questions that Louis Farrakhan must now answer.
2015 will mark the 50th anniversary of the brutal assassination of Malcolm X and we are calling on President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to publish all federal government files and records, without alteration or redaction, relating to the 1965 crime.
